How to take care of Panapufa chunky wool rugs

Luxurious chunky knit wool rug creates a cozy space in your home, conducive spending free time among family members. With proper care, panapufa rug will become your favorite place to relax for many years.

All rugs are made by hand of 100% felted sheep wool. Panapufa rugs are perfect floor decoration, a great addition to any play area, kids bedroom or nursery.

  • Thick knitted rugs need to be handled carefully
  • Place carpets in low-traffic areas that are not exposed to intensive use
  • Remove outdoor shoes and use walk-off mats at all entrances to keep dirt from being tracked onto the carpet
  • Limit the movement of animals in rooms with a woolen carpet. If this is not possible, make sure their paws are clean

  • Take your rug outside to dust it. With a larger rug, get a rug beater.     If the rug is small enough, you can just give it a good shake yourself by holding it, or flapping it against a railing.
  • Frequent, low-impact vacuuming—as opposed to high-power vacuuming, which you should never inflict on rug you love—is the best way to keep your wool rugs clean. Make sure to turn your machine to a setting that does not involve a spinning brush, so it’s gentle enough.
  • Dry cleaning should be carried out only by a professional reputable company, and they should avoid using any shampoos or cleaners with a spirit base.
  • Spills should be cleaned immediately. Never rub a spill, instead blot any liquids with a dry absorbent white cloth or white paper towel. Some stains may be spot cleaned with a mild detergent and lukewarm water.

Pilling can occur due to traffic, moving of furniture, vacuuming or other mechanical agitation. This is a natural property of all woolen carpets. Pilling is not a defect or the basis for a carpet complaint. Occasionally loose yarn ends will rise above the pile surface. This is a characteristic to the type of weave, and all hand knitted rugs, not a manufacturing fault. The loose yarns can be carefully trimmed with scissors.
